hello!

Dulcie just popped up to say hello while I had my camera out today.  She's getting pretty good at holding her head up like this, but seems to have stopped rolling over from her tummy to her back for some reason.  Her previous rolling technique involved getting into this position and toppling herself over.  Whee!  Hopefully she starts doing it again soon.  She can now roll from her back to her side, so in theory she could go through 270 degrees.  Impressive, huh?  She's still making no attempts to crawl, but moves around a lot more while she's on her back.  In bed she spins round 90 degrees and then throws her legs in the air repeatedly until she manages to turn on the musical birds at the side of her cot using her foot.  It's very cute, but a bit unnerving when she does it at 4am!
"Dribbling?  Who, me?!"  Yes, the teething continues, but no sign of any actual teeth as yet.

  1. Hi - have read your blog for ages and just wanted to say hello! and how much I enjoy it. I originally read it because it motivated me with my crafts projects (which I think about way much more than actually do - am a rubbish crafter!) I unexpectedly became pregnant earlier this year (now 30 weeks) and am terrified and excited. Your blog has a v soothing effect! Love reading it :-)

    1. Thanks, Julie :) Hope your pregnancy goes more smoothly than mine post 30 weeks! Don't be terrified - having a baby arrive so early has only gone to prove to me that you really can make it up as you go along. And there will be plenty more time for you to think about (but never do) craft once the baby arrives!

  2. She's grwoing up so fast! i've just discovered your present! I didnt see it when i first got in (i was distracted by a missed parcel royal delivery thingy.) thank you soo much! it put a super big smile on my face.
On a side note, ive just got back from walking my friends dog...it was not a nice walk, he chased three cats and barked at a really cute dog that had a face like a fox...and then to top it off a really big fly flew into my mouth and nearly made me sick...
Back to the topic in hand, i'd like to send you a little something back as a thank you but have lost your address from the human bean package...would you mind emailing me it again? no worries if you don't want to...but i promise i wont stalk you or anything.
    xx

Sorry to hear you got a fly in your mouth! We've had a massive daddy-long-legs in the bathroom all day giving me the heebie jeebies. Shudder!

    1. I think we have been mail jinxed! Oh well, at least it got there in the end. Glad you liked it :) I am not ready for the crawling stage at all. We have so much baby-proofing to do! It must be fun in other ways though. So cute! Dulcie is eating buttery toast in her high chair right now. That's her new thing this week.

Hello! I'm sorry that I've had to turn on the word verification feature again, but my inbox was being flooded with very dull spam. Genuine comments always brighten my day though, so thank you for taking the time to leave one :)
